Ms. Liza Warner

Head – Sales Department

Individuality, Inc.

Dear Ms. Warner:

I am writing this letter to apologize for coming to work two hours late this morning.  My child, Sarah, suffered a serious asthma attack while I was driving her to school and I had to bring her to the hospital.

I assure you that I will make up for the tardiness.  I will work an additional two hours for two consecutive days this week.  I assure you that my work has not been delayed despite the incident.  I apologize for not being able to call the office immediately to inform my you of the problem.  I will accept any other steps you will take to reprimand me and will willingly uphold them as per company rules.

Thank you.  I sincerely hope for your kind consideration.

Respectfully,

Christopher Farthing
